Alpstein Cross Meglisalp, Appenzell Innerrhoden, Switzerland ABOUT THE ARTIST Chris Norden first studied photography in the Filmic Writing Program of the USC School of Cinema-Television in Los Angeles and went on to become Director of Photography for Beaufort, Explorer, Lowcountry Quarterly, and Select magazines; Southeast Marketing Services; and AirCam, an aerial photography company. He was art director for Growing in Christ -- a magazine for new believers -- and spent seven years creating promotional campaigns and marketing materials (and writing and photographing travel articles) for Charleston, South Carolina's major daily newspaper, The Post and Courier. From 2005 to 2008, Chris art directed Carolina Homes & Interiors and Coastal Condo Living magazines. Now based out of Santa Fe, New Mexico, Chris is currently the editorial art director of Mount Pleasant Magazine, the city magazine of South Carolina's fourth largest municipality. ARTIST'S STATEMENT “God has blessed me with some truly astounding moments in my life – moments in which He’s revealed to me His peace, His creativity, His power, His sovereignty and His love. When He’s shown me these things and I’ve had my camera with me, I’ve felt particularly honored and humbled, knowing that He is choosing to use me at that moment to record a facet of Himself for someone whom He has plans to have a divine encounter with through that photograph in the future.
